INSTALLATIONS

Most of our commissions for commercial, hospitality and Public Art projects are required to meet rigorous energy and maintenance protocols.  This is achieved by encapsulating decorative glass panels between panels two pieces of tempered glass, referred to as an Insulated Glass Unit (or I.G.U.).

We recommend this technique for residential projects as well, due to their ease of care & maintenance properties. The technique prevents potential wear & tear damage from astringent cleaners coming into direct contact with thedecorative glass with its smooth, hardened tempered surface. Average thickness for an I.G.U.  varies between 3/4”-1”.

Shown here are in-studio images of an I.G.U. encapsulation.
